Rankings don't mean much. Numbers, numbers and numbers...

sure, top 20 are at the same level as Polish units
On contrary, numbers says alot. Research capabilities of unis - low numbers - low tech, no advanced labs, no breakthroghs in science. Is it telling you anything? Polish students abroad are acoplishing things that are not able to do in Poland. It is sad, but 400 - 500 and far far away for most of polish unis, is a grim reality. But what do you expect? 0.8 - 0.7% of GDP is being put on science, where most of EU is 1.5 and above (China around 4%, USA - 3 -4% and so on and so forth.)
