Hey guys, after playing CSGO lately after a long break, I discovered some strange texture problems.

Maybe someone here can give me a hint on how to fix this. Before you ask - nah, I haven't tried anything special to solve this yet.

hmm i remember that bug from swat :D you might have a geforce 200er series? curious if it would be the same issue

Have you tried turning down all the graphics settings and running the game on minimum

Yeah kies, it's the same bug, having its comeback with the 780 series .

The question is, how frequently does that bug appear? I only had it once in cs go so far, just restarted game.

Back in the past there was no fix, it just randomly appeared and was gone for me after a year.

The things you can try:
* Update your video drivers, if you have already done that try to reinstall them
* Get some older video drivers from around March / April

Like I said, only had it once in cs, it's interesting to know how frequently that bug appears for you.
It can only be the video drivers actually, but if the suggested solution does not fix it, you may start the game integrity verification in steam.

There are several causes
But first, some questions.

Does it suddenly happen? Or the bug always exists? Like everything is normal for 2 min and then this bug happens.
Does the texture toggle? Like being nornal and black repeatedly.
Does it happen on multiplayer servers or only offline vs bots?
Make sure you are actually playing on de_dust2 and not an edited map.

The causes may be that you may have installed a custom texture, a texture file is broken.
Or your computer is overheating.
Check the tempretures and verify the game files via game properties (on Steam)

The bug is there all the time. No flickering, no "gone on restart". My first thought was "Oh, they redesigned the map!" ;)

The causes may be that you may have installed a custom texture, a texture file is broken. Sounds plausible.
Or your computer is overheating. No. :)
Check the tempretures and verify the game files via game properties (on Steam) Did both. My PC doesnt even scratch the 40° mark in CSGO, game files were ok.

send me your graphics card ill tell you the problem after checking it :D
I wouldn't even send you the box it came in. :D

EDIT: Went on to verify game cache again - yesterday everything was ok, today 2 corrupted files. Maybe it's that already...

EDIT 2: Everything fixed, all back to normal. Thx for the assistance guys. I have no clue why the game cache verification told me it's all OK yesterday, but today it fixed my probs! :)
