MW2 Config Tips

Navigate to the folder: 'program files\steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players' and open the file config_mp.cfg


This will connect you to a server with maximum X amount of ping
seta cl_maxPing "110" (default value is 800)


Amount of ping bars shown, the more ping bars, the more precise ping will be shown
seta cg_ScoresPing_MaxBars "10" (default value is 4)


This will draw the Lagomoter
seta drawLagometer "1" (default value is 0)

This will activate the in-game console
seta monkeytoy "1" (default value is 0) - - -- Needs to be unlocked first !


Have more, but waiting to verfy!

I have the console crack if anyone wants to try it..
It injects a .dll file while the game is loading.

I tried using it and it said on the loader that it was successful, however - when I pressed ~ or (shift+~) nothing appeared on screen. Yet I had to press ~ again if I wanted to move around once more - so, it definitely did something.. Also the Lagometer does not work for me..

Hopefully IW will unlock the console soon -legitimately- !
 
yeah with the last patch dll inject dont works anymore.. btw u can set in config files some variables after unlocked cvar to make walls semi-trasparent.. is not as WH but helps ;)

and if we had MW2 section it would be nice.
 
Hehehe, the lagometer is working for me now and the 10 bars are really helpful to see what is going on in-game with the connections..

You can edit the above lines no problem Virus, they will not result in a ban.
 
I have all the above lines edited on my config and there is no problem ... I have joined many servers etc... blah blah blah

Even if you did get banned, STEAM would have to lift the ban for the above lines,

All they do is offer you more information regarding connection..
To get banned for activating a lagometer, changing the connection bars from 4 -> 10 or changing the max ping server u connect to from 800 - 110 is unfeasible!
